With Angelspit nearly a week away, here’s a little preview of what you can expect!

Here’s a link to a free full length version of the song “Skinny Little Bitch” for you to download from their new brand spanking new album Blood Death Ivory (download is from LastFM) - http://www.last.fm/music/Angelspit/Blood%2BDeath%2BIvory The new album was released on 1st of June.

For a taste of the show Angelspit put on when they play, check out the images of Angelspit playing at Coven in 2006!(click on the photo to see the rest of the gallery)

Angelspit also bring their own stall of merch with them.. last time it featured ties, collars, cuffs, CDs, pens and all manner of awesomeness. I know a lot of people were annoyed that they didn’t bring more money with them at the last gig, so remember your extra $$ for some goodies!

Excitement plus!!

Goth City Maps - HOBART

Topic: Coven, Local gigs, Shops, Uncategorized| 1 Comment »

I thought I’d have a go at creating a Goth City Map for the Goth City Maps LJ community. I’ve just put in a few things for now, but if you can think of anything of interest to add into a map of hobart for the Goth-Compatible tourist, let me know with a comment to this post! :)

Also. THE COVEN: ANODISED is tomorrow! “Get Your Metal On!”™

The Coven: ANODISED - Updaterama!

Topic: Coven, Events| No Comments »

Hey Guys,

Just thought I’d let you know the deal for Coven this week.

Friday is The Coven:ANODISED. For all you filthy covenites that love themes, this one will guarantee you set off the security alarms at airports (if you didnt already). Basically, we want you to get your METAL on. Not necessarily musicaly but in your accoutrements and accessories. We want to see spikes, piercings, jewelry. Make it tasteful, or make it extreme! Just make it metallic!

We’ve also got a whopping 10 DJs for the evening which means 30minute sets to keep things dynamic, high energy and interesting. Just to go through the list so you know what to expect:

DJ DIGI: metal inspired industrial, industrial inspired metal. explosive start to the evening
DJ OZMOSIS: mixing oldschool with newschool. gothrock to hardcore ebm.
DJ LOBEBOY: mixing 90s industrial rock with newschool dancefloor classics
DJ GRAVEDIGGER: industrial rock, metal with just a touch of faceraping EBM
DJ OBLIVION: oldschool and dancefloor classics
DJ SPRECKENSTEIN: EBM, industrial and gothrock
DJ MANDRAX: industrialrock + hardcore ebm
DJ SIGIL: industrial!!
DJ MAGGOT: a touch of hardcore EBM, a nice chunk of dancefloor filling industrial
DJ JOLT: synthpop, gothrock and EBM

Basically this means you’ll be on the dancefloor the entire night!

Also of note: This will be a 10pm start again. So to compensate, we are going high energy all the way!
Look forward to seeing you on Friday!

Cheers, Spreckenstein
